15th Anniversary

Although generally a good cigar, this one is simpler than would be expected from an anniversary blend. The flavor consists of simple wood & coffee that doesn't change much. The draw was open and rather smoky, but the burn did need a few touch-ups.

One of my most smoked Rocky Patel cigars. Always good.

Burn issues. Flavor is coffee bitter with woody subtleties. Smokable but not special. Pairs well with whiskey.

Dark espresso bean. That's about it. Seems very replaceable.

TL;DR - starts with hints of cherry that fade quickly. Coffee core. Recommended 👍 6 mos aged ⏳️ Barnyard and rich maduro pre-light. Hints of apricot. Dry-boxed 8 hours. Draw and construction great. Light-up is COOL 😎 This has a dark coffee or espresso core. But the cool thing is the immediate hints of cherry 🍒 This fades quickly, but it's a fun light-up. This fades away quickly and you end up with a coffee core the entire smoke. The burn is a little needy. Not bad, just a touch up every now and then. Pairing: this is a dark smoke, so I think it has limitations for pairings (I don't recommend coffee). Maybe bourbon or an oaky Merlot 🍷? I also think this will pair well with sweet-finished meats: teriyaki chicken or tri-tip? This is a decent cigar, but I won't be buying more.
