Repeat review, with 1.5 years of rest. Complex and bold notes of spice, pepper, wood, and chalky leather, definitely smoothed out now. The draw was smooth with a great burn.
Continued review. The flavor profile brings creamy leather, with notes of wood, a little spice and pepper. The smoke is a little chalky, but this one again had a few burn issues that needed help, just like the last one.
Repeated review, such an elegant smoke. The profile gives out sweet notes of cocoa and some earth. The presentation is great, as with every San Cristobal. The draw and burn were fantastic.
Consistent review, now with over 2 years rest on the box. A super smooth profile with a balance of pepper & spice. A very slow & level burn this time but the draw was just a little tight. Construction is firm as usual.
Here's a fairly simple cigar, perfect for the times you need to multi-task. The profile brings out balanced spice and cedar, with not much hitting the retrohale. Construction was firm, smoke output was pretty decent, and the burn was absolutely perfect.
Repeated review. As the cuban-sandwich version of the original, the flavor is very similar with notes of earth, pepper, and a hint of caramel. The draw is open and smooth. Due to the way this one is constructed, the burn does need periodic corrections, but is a great cheaper option to the OG.
Finally tried the 7x70 just to experience it. The profile is a another version espresso & earthy flavors. Overall smoking time was 2hrs 10mins. The first hour, only 2.5" burned down. The second hour burned down the other 4" (not counting the nub). An average cigar but the trial was interesting.
This one didn't impress me as much as I expected it to. Although the profile brought notes of leather, sweet chocolate, and a little bit of earth, the overall flavor was incredibly weak. The draw was a little too open, but the burn was almost perfect. Just wanted a little bit more from this cigar.
Continued review of this budget smoke. The flavors are mild but consists of hay & sweet bread. The retro is smooth with zero harsh tones. The ash held up nicely once again, but the outer wrapper cracked and caused a lot of burn issues.
Revisited after a couple of years. A dark and oily cigar, with deep bold flavors of earth and coffee. Nothing bitter like the last time I tried it. The draw was very smooth, but the burn did need a little help.
Second review, very pleasant again. Notes appear immediately of wood tones / cedar / oak mixed with some nuttiness and white pepper. A light sweet tone appears within the smoke at times. The construction was solid with an almost perfect burn with a ton of smoke output.
Repeated review, full of cedar tones the entire way. There is also an under tone of nuttiness and malt. The spices are mild and pleasant and reproduces primarily on the retro. Solid draw and fairly even burn.
Repeated review. The flavor consists of coffee, leather, and just a little bit of pepper and cocoa. The draw was clean and adequate. The burn was just about perfect this time around.
The first time I had this cigar, the flavor was terrible and it cracked while smoking. This experience was much better. The draw and burn were fantastic. However, the flavor was very simple with a mildly creamy and nutty profile. A pretty basic cigar in general.
