Continued review. With 20 months of rest on the box, this one has stayed super smooth. This one is a very simple cigar with notes of wood & leather. The draw and burn are both steady and even.

Macanudo

Second time trying this blend. The draw was a much smoother this time, and the burn stayed fairly decent. The smoke output was also improved, allowing for the dark espresso, cedar and pepper to come through nicely.

Ramon Allones

Repeated review, now with 20 months of rest. The wrapper is oily, and the cigar is well constructed. The flavor profile consists of light coffee, butter, and cedar. On the retro, there is a good hit of brighter pepper that will surprise you. The draw and burn are very smooth.

Ave Maria

Repeated & consistent review with 20 months rest on this one. A bold cigar full of espresso, charred oak, pepper, and sweet spice. The draw was very smooth and open this time, with a fantastic burn line. Great appearance and banding.

It's been a couple years since I've smoked this blend. Just opened this box that's been resting for 21 months. Well blended flavors of wood and spice come though with a very heavy smoke output. The burn waved a couple of times in need of some corrections.

Diesel

This one has improved since the first test, now with 18 months of rest. The flavors are still simple with dark coffee and some saltiness, with an added touch of black pepper now. The draw was great, and the burn was infinitely better than last time.

Watching the World Cup final, even though Brazil is not in it I’m respecting them since they have the most wins in the FIFA tournaments throughout the 100 years

Consistently a good quicker smoke. The flavor brings strong red pepper with cocoa, leather, and coffee. A very smokey cigar the entire way. An easy draw with decent smoke. The burn tried to run again but still corrected itself.

Cohiba

Fairly consistent review. The flavor is somewhat creamy with notes of leather, cinnamon, and bright spices. The draw is clean and open with decent smoke output. The burn stayed incredibly even, needing no corrections at all. This one rested for 16 months.

Macanudo

Initial thoughts: the vitola smells of hay/barn but in a mild way. Cold draw is similar. The initial taste off of the light is a bit peppery...it's mild, hitting the front part of my palette and staying there. There isn't much lingering. I'm not getting a lot of other flavors yet in the first few draws. Peppery is still the major feel. The smoke is abundant and light. Definitely a mild to medium cigar. One touch up on the burn so far and it's early. Not much by way of aroma. A little bit of cedar perhaps....a mild toasty flavor but the peppery finish remains...perhaps a little nutty lingering taste at the very end. My check of the cigar's profile confirms what I'm tasting which is nice. The ash is holding up nicely about an inch in. First retrohale and definitely have the creamy nutty flavor now. A nice mild cigar for the middle of the day. Into the second third of the cigar now. I've had to touch up the burn again and I got a blast of peppery, creamy nuttiness on the relight after drawing. It's not lingering on the tongue which is nice for the time of day. Definitely getting a cedar aroma now off the cigar while it's resting. Finished off the cigar and it remained very consistent throughout. Definitely a good intro/beginner cigar or something light to enjoy without blowing your palette away.

Absolutely duplicate review. Cedar, bright pepper, and some sweet spice blend together in this one. The smooth draw produced a decent amount of smoke that let the flavors come together nicely. A slow even burn rounded out the session.

Repeated review, at 19 months rest. Rich & bold tobacco brings notes of spice, cedar, and a little leather on the back end. The draw was super smooth with a burn that needed only a couple of minor touch-ups.

Repeated review of a decent budget smoke. Heavy pepper and espresso cones across the palate along with some spicy tones. The draw was smooth as usual, but the burn again needed a few corrections.

Duplicated review. A perfect draw as usual, with a ton of smoke! The flavor stays smooth, with notes of bread or toast packed with a good amount of spice. With 19 months of rest, some nuttiness comes through at times also. The retro boasts a good bit of zing as well. Decent burn with no corrections.

Rocky Patel

There's more flavor to this cigar than you would expect. The flavor profile consists of cedar and white pepper. Notes of coffee came through on the second half. The retro hell presented a heavily intense portrayal of that pepper the entire way. The draw was smooth, the burn was perfect, the smoke output was incredible.

Macanudo

Having tried the Emissary France a few times, I think this might be my first time with the Espana. The draw was a little tight, but the burn stayed even and allowed a decent smoke. The flavor profile on this one was full of dark espresso and cedar with just a subtle touch of pepper.

Man O' War

Second review with the Armada, at 18 months of rest. Again, this turned out to be a great cigar. The flavor profile consists of creamy caramel, dark chocolate, and black pepper. The cigar stayed smooth the entire way. The burn stayed much more even this time.

With 17 months of rest, this is a pretty smooth cigar. The wrapper is oily, and the cigar is well constructed. The flavor profile consists of light coffee, butter, and cedar. On retro, there is a good deal of brighter pepper. The draw and burn are smooth all the way.

Montecristo

Last time I smoked one of these the burn was off, but this time it was very even. Although this is a pretty simple cigar, it's an easy enjoyable smoke. The notes are of wood and some light pepper coming through the retro. The draw was rather smooth as well.

Carlos Torano

Continued review. A simpler profile primarily of wood & citrus, with just a touch of leather. The draw is easy, and the burn needed no corrections this time. A smooth smoke for when you don't want anything too complex.

5 Vegas

2.5 years of rest on this one. Consistent & duplicate review, among my favorite dark smokes in general. A killer bold blend, full of oak, leather, espresso & spice. Great draw & burn the entire way. There was a ton of smoke output this time around.

Asylum

Continued review, smoked it again on my way home from work. Heavy pepper and espresso, with spicy tones. The draw was smooth this time around, but the burn needed a few corrections. A little over a year of rest.

Better than the last try, where the burn was absolutely horrible. This is still a pretty simple cigar. The only notes are of wood and some light pepper coming through the retro. The draw was smooth, however.
