As from previous experiences, this is an outstanding maduro representation. Recommended 👍 I'm pairing it with a dark roast coffee this morning. So far, this seems to be offsetting coffee flavors of the cigar and enhancing other nuances such as Cedar and almond. I am definitely adding these to the humidor.
TL;DR - a solid and mostly linear maduro representation. A keeper. Medium roast coffee and Hazelnut with qualities of cocoa and limited wood. Recommended 👍 Aged 10 mos, dry-boxed 3 hours ⏳️ Pre-light barnyard and chocolate. Light-up is easy 👌 Goldilocks construction and draw. Initial: medium roast coffee. Hazelnut makes an entrance somewhere towards the end of the first-third along with a bit of wood. Maple? Toasted oak? The wood eventually mellows. Burn 🔥 is great. Medium flavors and medium nicotine making it very approachable. Paired well with both selzer water and coffee. I think this would pair well with just about anything.
Consistent & duplicated review. The contrasting wrappers produces a profile of toasted cedar with some subtle sweet spice. The tobacco itself comes through smoothly. The draw was easy, and the burn needed no corrections.
TL;DR - wood, leather, and distant roasted peanut. A worthy Maduro representation. Recommended 👍 Aged 1+ years, dry-boxed 5 hours ⏳️ Pre-light is very light apricot. Light-up is easy 👌 Goldilocks construction and draw. Initial impressions: light wood and leather with distant roasted peanut. Burn 🔥 is even and reliable. Medium flavors and medium nicotine. Is this a keeper in my regular rotation? I'm leaning into "probably" if only because it represents what a Connecticut Maduro cigar "should be". It is a very well made linear cigar that stays clear of typical, dark (burnt) coffee and near burnt flavors found so often in other Maduro blends.
Consistent review. The contrasting wrappers produces a profile of toasted cedar with some subtle sweet spice. The tobacco itself comes through smoothly. The draw was easy, and the burn needed no correction.
Duplicated review, now with 22 months of rest. A bold yet super smooth smoke. Notes include dark chocolate, baking spice, and a little touch of earthiness. A clean draw and very even burn throughout.
Recommended 👍 15 mos aged ⏳️ Apricot pre-light 😋 Initial flavors of roasted Hickory and walnut. A bit of Corojo spice develops about halfway in. An enjoyable, reliable, rich smoke. Full flavored and strong nicotine.
TL;DR - a linear mineral smoke. Not my profile. Not recommended 👎 Aged 11 mos, dry-boxed 6 hours ⏳️ Pre-light is intense honey 🍯😍 Light-up is easy 👌 Goldilocks construction and draw. Initial impressions: a classic profile. Earth, minerals, leather. Entering the second third, it's been a linear experience. Prevalent mineral core that's a bit too strong. This continues to the end. Burn 🔥 is great. Medium flavors and strong nicotine.
Consistent review. The contrasting wrappers produces a profile of toasted cedar with some subtle sweet spice. The tobacco itself comes through smoothly. The draw was easy, and the burn needed no corrections.
Duplicated review. Milder smoke that still has some gentle spice & backend mild pepper notes to it. Good draw but fast smoke. This cigar has gradually increased after 2 years of rest. Draw has improved over the initial smokes.
Repeat review, 18 months of rest. A bold yet super smooth smoke. Notes include dark chocolate, baking spice, and a little touch of earthiness. A clean draw and very even burn throughout.
