Ramon Allones

With 17 months of rest, this is a pretty smooth cigar. The wrapper is oily, and the cigar is well constructed. The flavor profile consists of light coffee, butter, and cedar. On retro, there is a good deal of brighter pepper. The draw and burn are smooth all the way.

Don Lino

Repeated cigar, this one from TGS26. A very airy cigar with notes of nuts, hay, and earth. There's only just a tad bit of pepper. The burn stayed even although the draw was very weak.

Infinity Cigars

First trial, acquired at PCA26. The first hit is full of pepper, which gradually tapers off to reveal a mixture of campfire notes, dark chocolate, and coffee. There is a little zing that remains on the tongue after each draw. The draw is a bit tight, common for many cigars blended by Sanj Patel, but the burn & smoke output remained decent.

L'Atelier

A spicy start to this cigar proved true the entire way. The intensity blended in with strong cedar and some subtle vanilla. The draw was great although the burn kept trying to run the first half. The retrohale brings a lot of spice flavor but isn't as intense as the normal draw.

Excellent, punch cut, paired incredibly well with Tears of Llorona extra anejo tequila.

El Viejo Continente

Third review, now at 19 months rest. A decent budget priced cigar. The flavor consists of spice, leather, and a little creaminess. The draw was much smoother now. Burn still tended to waiver but only needed minor corrections.

H. Upmann

Received this one unbanded from a friendly trade. Such an incredibly smooth smoke overall. The primary notes were of cedar with various spices that blended together very well. The burn had a couple waves that corrected itself, but the draw was flawless.

La Flor De Zaida

First time ever smoking this brand, and the initial impression is incredible. This blend was very creamy in general, while also portraying cedar and baking spices on the palate. Some red pepper pushed through the retro. The smoke output was thick with a fairly decent burn. Overall great flavor profile. Acquired at PCA26.

Adventura

Consistent & duplicated review! Starting out with a hit of spice, the cigar gradually mellows down to a super smooth blend of sweet molasses with hints of coffee in the background. An absolute flawless burn with a very adequate draw.

Aganorsa Leaf

A decent smoke, but wasn't up to the usual construction standards from Aganorsa. The flavor consisted of sweet bread with some spices. The draw was too airy, the feel was spongy, and the burn needed constant corrections.

Raices Cubanas

First time trying, acquired at PCA26. Staying medium in strength, the profile consisted of clean tobacco, floral notes, and just a touch of spice that lingers on the tongue. The draw was rather clean, allowing for a very even burn.

Black Star Line

Continued review. There's an array of spices alongside a very heavy undertone of cedar with some pepper coming through on the retro. The draw is open with plenty of smoke, while the burn line stayed almost perfect.

Plasencia

Consistent review, with balanced yet notes of cocoa, spice, and nuttiness. Draw was slightly more open than usual but still had an exceptionally slow even burn. Due to the pairing, some nutmeg spice was portrayed this time as well. This one has been resting for 2.5 years.

Micallef

Acquired at NFG26, this has 14 months of rest on it. The flavor profile brought out leather with some heavy spices, blended with undertones of sweet cocoa. The draw had just a little resistance to it, and the burn was almost flawless.

Henry Clay

Duplicated review with 19 months of rest now. The profile brings spiced cedar with very creamy undertones. The draw is clean with a ton of smoke production. The construction was solid, while the burn remained perfect.

Caldwell

Although minimal, the flavors were of basic wood & coffee. A small bit of spice appeared at the end. The burn seems to be inconsistent on this blend, but this time it was very even with a smooth draw. Much better than the last experience.

Last time I smoked this blend two years ago, the burn was pretty rough. This time around the draw and burn were fantastic. Mostly nutty profile with hints of spice & mild pepper.

Steel City Cigars

This one is full of spices! The blend starts with heavy notes of dried fruit with some baking spices blended in. Before long, more intense red pepper joins on both the palate and the retro. The draw is smooth with a ton of smoke output and a very clean burn.

Drunk Chicken

Rated this at 72 when I first smoked it over a year ago. The flavor and burn we're both horrible, so I thought extra rest would help. Adding a year of rest definitely helped the draw and burn smooth out, but the flavor is still terrible. There's basically just fermented tobacco and almost no spice spice. The rating "improvement" is basically only due to good construction and burn.

Raices Cubanas

Another pleasant surprise coming from Raices Cubanas. The profile here started out heavily with charred wood like a campfire, which was soon joined with an array of baking spices. The draw was a little tight at first but smoothed out quickly.

First trial, acquired from PCA as an unbanded sampler. There's a ton of flavor in the smoke - wood tones, leather, and cocoa. Strong pepper comes through on the retro. The clean draw produces a ton of smoke with a perfect burn.

Don Pepin Garcia

This one comes with a medium profile, with notes of cream, cedar, and just a little bit of spice. The draw is open and smooth with a clean burn. The spice only amplifies a little as it burns down.

La Flor Dominicana

Repeated review, this one with 18 months rest. A dark powerhouse with deep bold notes of rich tobacco, a little nuttiness, sweet cocoa, and zero pepper. A somewhat tight draw but very even burn. Overall a very smooth but bold smoke.
