2012 Barber Pole

Repeated review. The mix of wrappers provides an interesting mix of flavors, with chocolate, grass, and spice blending together. The draw is smooth and produces a good amount of smoke. The burn stayed fairly true as well.

Nice smoking cigar mellow smooth and relaxing. Loved it.

My go to when not sure what to smoke!!

The mix of wrappers provides an interesting mix of flavors here. Chocolate, grassiness, and spice all blend together. The draw is smooth and produces a ton of smoke. The burn stayed fairly true as well. Rested for almost a year before smoking.

Very pleasant cigar, smells and burns well. It has some spice at the end but smooth overall.

Better than most Oscar cigars, no real complexity but good flavor. 1st Third - Creaminess, nuts, chocolate, coffee and some sweetness. 2nd Third - flavors from the 1st remain but licorice, caramel and hints of cedar are added. 3rd Third - Profiler changes abruptly but is still good with Peanut butter, chocolate, espresso, caramel, malt, cedar, cinnamon and creaminess.

The burn was awful but that's probably to be expected with a boxpressed barber pole. Aside from that the blend was pretty nice with notes of toasted nuts, earth, and spice.

What a twisty treat this barber pole is! The transitions between the candela and maduro wrapper are phenomenal. Construction is excellent. The burn line is strange at times, but seems to correct itself. Trying this for my 9th wedding anniversary (August 13, 2012). Very enjoyable and different. Thus far my top Oscar choice.
