Consistent and generally reliable cigar. 18 months of rest in the humidor on this one. The profile brings out dark coffee, black pepper, and wood tones that all stay fairly balanced. Draw was a little more open this time than usual for this blend, but that allowed more smoke production and a clean burn.
Consistent and reliable cigar. The flavor profile brings out dark coffee, black pepper, and wood tones. The draw has a slight resistance to it, allowing the burn to remain slow and even.
Was expecting a very bold heavy smoke but this is more medium with very light smoke. Notes of dark roast black coffee, clove and must. Draw is somewhat tight. Flavor sits forward on the tongue. The burn slows down pretty fast. Not impressed.
spicy taste to start off. Roasted nut/coffee taste. Overall a dark coffee taste which I like. Sweeter syrup like taste heading into 2nd third: same sweet dark coffee/nut taste. Mild burning issue. Continued coffee taste. Final third: same dark roast taste. Minor burn issue that I had to fix myself this time. Final smoking time: 1:36. Final score 92
Has an earthy deep tobacco aroma. Cold draw has notes of very dark coffee and tobacco. First draw has the same dark coffee and retrohale has a strong pepper note that stays for about the first inch. The pepper mellows and coffee stays but some charred wood, ash, and chestnut notes come in. Has a light but noticeable sweetness in the aroma like a pipe tobacco. Draw is really nice but the burn is uneven and doesn't correct. Second third doesn't change much. The pepper picks up again in the last third. Other than the burn this is a solid stick and I found I didn't want to put it down. It leaves a little more aftertaste than I prefer but not a deal breaker. This stick produced a lot of smoke
