Artesano Del Tobacco

Repeated review. This is a dark and oily blend that portrays black pepper, bold espresso, and dark chocolate. This one stays bold without turning bitter. A ton of smoke output is supported by a clean draw and fairly even burn.

Similar to the original Blue Label, but it feels even darker & bolder. The profile hits hard with black pepper, earth, and dark coffee notes. Although the construction felt a bit spongy, the burn stayed true with a smooth open draw.

Adventura

Great flavor, but it definitely didn't burn as well as the traditional vitolas. The flavor brought out smokey cedar blended with a little pepper and vanilla. The draw was still clean, but the burn kept trying to run from the start. The abnormally spongy feel makes me wonder if it's a fluke, as Adventura smokes are usually made much better.

H. Upmann

First time with this one, and it was a bit surprising. At first, it was as expected with notes of bread and nuts. However, an interesting turn happened with the retro became full of strong red pepper. The draw was very smooth, but the burn needed some help a few times.

West Tampa Cigar Co

An interesting collab between Rick Rodriguez and Raymond Pages. Full of wood tones right at the start. A little bit of earth and sweet tobacco builds up as it burns down. In the second half, the retro starts presenting a good bit of pepper. Construction is solid and firm to the feel, while the burn stayed relatively even.

Bolivar

One of my go-to cigars, but this one had almost 2 years of rest on it. A reliable smoke - aged tobacco with just a touch of sweet cedar and spice. Extra notes of molasses appears at times as well. Firm construction, smooth draw, and a decent burn this time.

Matilde

A red hot addition to The Limited Exposure lineup. The profile starts out with charred wood and as quickly overtaken by spicy red pepper - both on the palate and the retro. Some hints of wood sneak in underneath. The draw and burn were both great.

Plasencia

Consistent review of a favorite cigar. With balanced notes of cocoa, spice, and nuttiness, this is an enjoyable smoke. The draw was smooth & stay with a slow even burn. Always a reliable cigar.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust

Finally pulled this bad boy out. The flavors are phenomenal, with blended notes of meaty spices, leather, and cedar. The retro is full of black pepper. The draw was smooth, producing a lot of smoke, with a great burn line.

Adventura

Always an incredibly smokey Connecticut! Immediate tones of cedar soon blend with a little pepper and vanilla. The draw is clean with an even burn. Decently firm and proper construction. Very consistent cigar.

Adventura

A slightly bolder variation to the original. The flavor profile still brings out black pepper, but it is a tad more prominent. The wood tones are now mixed in with some cocoa escences as well. The draw is clean and the smoke is still creamy with an immaculate burn.

CAO

This is a fantastic variation to the America blend. The profile mixes in dark chocolate and bright cedar with a heavy tone of pepper. The intensity of that pepper on the retro is insane. The box pressed vitola is clean & tight, allowing both a smooth draw and level burn.

La Flor Dominicana

This is generally a super reliable blend. The profiles produces a mix of leather, sweet tobacco, and a little spice. The veiny appearance tends to be deceiving, as th draw and burn as both very smooth.

Lure Cigars

This turned out to be a great cigar. Dark cocoa, leather, and sweet spice blend together very nicely. There's a dry texture to the wrapper under the fingers. A smooth draw enabled plenty of smoke with a dead even burn. Sweet floral retro.

Dapper

Pulled another one of these out, from early 2025. Such an incredible cigar with notes of cocoa, aged tobacco, subtle floral notes, and just a touch of baking spice. The burn and draw stayed almost flawless on this one. Great smoke.

Trinidad

This turned out to be an absolutely smooth cigar with incredible flavor. Profile brings notes of cedar, sweet vanilla, and baking spice. The strength is in the medium range so nothing gets better or too intense, except with the increased spice on the retro. The draw is smooth and smokey with a very decent burn line.

L'Atelier

The first few hits were overwhelmingly pungent. After a little while, notes of black pepper, coffee and earth came together. With firm construction, the draw and burn were both smooth and even. Unfortunately, the flavor stayed a little bitter throughout the cigar.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust

Absolutely love the longer format on this one. The smooth body provides an easy blend of coffee with hints of sweet chocolate. There is no harsh bite and the burn was incredibly even. The draw produced a good amount of smoke.

Apostate

Repeated review. The profile consists of sweet spice mixed with some subtle nuttiness. The burn stayed fairly even on this one, while the draw was open producing a decent amount of smoke.

MBombay

The draw started out a little tight, but it opened up quickly. In terms of flavor, this blend is absolutely full of black pepper, cedar, and spice. The burn had a tendency to wave at times, needing correction, but did not affect the flavor profile.

Rojas

There wasn't as much to this cigar as I expected. Even knowing it was a milder cigar, the flavor profile seemed to be missing something. What did come through was subtle nuttiness and a little spice, but was primarily clean tobacco. The draw was smooth but the burn needed a few corrections as well.

L'Atelier

A spicy start to this cigar proved true the entire way. The intensity blended in with strong cedar and some subtle vanilla. The draw was great although the burn kept trying to run the first half. The retrohale brings a lot of spice flavor but isn't as intense as the normal draw.

Aganorsa Leaf

A decent smoke, but wasn't up to the usual construction standards from Aganorsa. The flavor consisted of sweet bread with some spices. The draw was too airy, the feel was spongy, and the burn needed constant corrections.

Don Pepin Garcia

This one comes with a medium profile, with notes of cream, cedar, and just a little bit of spice. The draw is open and smooth with a clean burn. The spice only amplifies a little as it burns down.

Ohana Nui

Duplicated & consistent review, one I return to often. The flavor on this one is dark chocolate and graham cracker sweetness. The wrapper is oily, and the entire smoke is super smooth.

ChiMolly

Dark espresso hit the palate immediately at first draw. This is soon joined with cedar and earth, with strong pepper coming through on the retro. With a fairly firm construction, the cigar burned well and produced a decent amount of smoke. A pretty good first impression to me for this brand.

Romeo y Julieta

This is an absolute surprise of a cigar. The construction was super clean with an absolutely perfect burn. At first light, intense red pepper comes through, and that strength stays on the retro. Other notes of dried fruit & coffee come through as well. Fantastic smoke.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust

For sweeter cigars, this is a pretty great one. The overall flavor brings out some sweetness that is similar to a mix of vanilla and molasses, with some baking spices underneath. The further the cigar burns down, that sweetness gradually tapers down. Great construction and burn.

Illusione

I'm not a big candela guy, but this one came in a monthly box so giving it an honest shake. The expected grassy tones were heavy on this one, providing a spicy tingle on the tongue, but luckily never getting bitter. The construction and burn were almost flawless, and it produced more smoke than expected.
