Don Cigar

An interesting cigar here. The draw was surprisingly smooth considering the sharp taper in the size variation. The flavor profile brought out a well balanced mix of pepper, toasted cinnamon, coffee, and wood. The burn was also surprisingly even for the most part.

This one is a bit odd. First off, construction is on point. The draw was clean and the burn was fantastic. I can't use those words for the flavor however. Profile brought out some leather and a touch of sweetness, but there was a pungent and lingering sourness to the baking spices that tried to come through. This aspect remained throughout the entire cigar. I kept smoking thinking it would get better, but it never did. The box code was stamped on the back of the band, with the date of 2020.

It's been awhile since I've enjoyed one of these. This one is the 2021 edition. Super dark and robust flavor with a hit of pepper at the first draw. Strong pepper comes through on the retro. Although the profile is darker, the creamy feel keeps it bold without being too harsh. Great draw and decent burn as well.

This is one absolutely robust and dark cigar. The blend hits strong with notes of earth, pepper, and dark coffee. Even though the tone is dark, it never gets too bitter. The draw was open, the burn was perfect, and it produced an immense amount of smoke output.

This one hits with a profile of black pepper and sweet spice. The spice never gets too intense but stays level and flavor. The draw and burn remained even and adequate throughout.
