Repeated review. Very bold blend with some spiced undertones that never get harsh or bitter. Absolutely perfect burn and easy draw that allowed a clean smokey output. A cigar that always seems to stay reliable.

Adventura

Repeated review, a year of rest on this one. The blend brings out a rich profile of spice, earth, and some creamy wood notes. The retro starts out floral with a red pepper finish. Construction was solid with an almost perfect burn. The thick foil band provides a very clean presentation.

Saga

One of the two full size cigars in the Short Tales line, this one is pretty solid. Construction is very firm, presented with an oily wrapper. The flavor profile is primarily of charred cedar, with added notes of leather. The retro introduces some heavy red pepper. The draw was smooth with a great burn line.

Plasencia

Consistent review of a favorite cigar. With balanced notes of cocoa, spice, and nuttiness, this is an enjoyable smoke. The draw was smooth & stay with a slow even burn. Always a reliable cigar.

Jake Wyatt

Another new blend here. The profile presents a little bid of cedar, a lot of creamy tones, and a little bit of pepper on the retro. The construction is semi-firm with an oily wrapper, bringing a fairly smooth draw.

Jake Wyatt

Continued & consistent review. The flavor contains smooth spice and a touch of sweetness. Wood tones and leather come through as well. The burn try to run on one side but was corrected and stayed clean after. The draw smooth with just a touch of resistance.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust

Finally pulled this bad boy out. The flavors are phenomenal, with blended notes of meaty spices, leather, and cedar. The retro is full of black pepper. The draw was smooth, producing a lot of smoke, with a great burn line.

Romeo y Julieta

Received by trade with a fellow cigar enthusiast. The profile is as expected with a lot of smooth wood and just a touch of baking spice. Elegant and smooth, the draw was open and the burn only needed minor corrections due to some wind.

Adventura

Repeated review. A super smooth experience as the profile has just the right kick of spice enjoyed by an incredibly easy draw. With a fairly even burn, this special vitola is an intriguing smoke.

Cigar Bundles of Miami

Second time with this blend at 3 months rest. The notes from the various wrappers come through in full force with some sweetness, spice, pepper, and grassy notes. The construction was done well - smooth draw and a lot of smoke.

JM Patriarch

Another new one acquired from PCA26. Clean appearance with minimal flavor, weak compared to their Habano. What did come out in the profile was very subtle notes of wood and baking spice. The burn and draw did remain very clean. However, even though the cherry never got too hot, the last third started tasting mostly like ash.

Steel City Cigars

Duplicated review, very consistent! The aroma provides sweet honey, while the flavor pulls leather and spice with some light pepper. The honey comes through in flavor later. Perfect burn and construction.

Ohana Nui

A solid smoke for a house blend. The profile is full of wood tones and leather, with black pepper coming through on the retro. The construction is solid, providing a smooth draw and very clean burn line.

Perdomo

This cigar has a clean appearance with a slightly spongy construction. The flavor got off immediately with a good amount of nuttiness, followed up with a well-balanced blend of baking spice. The draw was open and smokey, with the burn needing just a couple minor corrections.

Adventura

Finally tried the short belicoso of this blend. Just as smooth as the others, with notes of cocoa, coffee, and a little vanilla at the back end. The draw was a little more open. Steady burn with clean transitions.

Hoyo de Monterrey

Duplicated review with 15 months of rest. Smooth notes of light floral tones with some hints of citrus & spice. The draw and burn where both very acceptable and smooth on this one.

Gran Habano

Continued review, now with a year of rest. The extra rest definitely helped the flavor smooth out compared to first arrival. Some wood tones now come through with the spice, although still a simple profile. The burn had a couple issues at the beginning but leveled out.

Camacho

Repeated review. The flavor consists of coffee, chocolate, and pepper. Bold but not harsh. A great draw and super clean burn created a great smoke session. 15 months of rest, came from TGS25.

Raza Rara

Second review after 5 months rest. This cigar puts out a decent amount of smoke with a lot of flavor. The profile consisted of dry powdered cocoa, leather, and strong red pepper. There was also hints of dried fruit that I did not recognize before. The burn needed absolutely no corrections.

Alec Bradley

Wanted to revisit this one to test again. It's a simple profile of sweet wood and spice, with a little of that spice on the retro. Although the burn line stayed even, this one was overpacked. The draw was tough and it did not want to stay lit without help.

Room 101

19 months of rest on the box, and it has definitely smoothed out tremendously. The profile is a deep & bold blend with earthy tones. A good bit of smooth chocolate also comes through. The draw has definitely smoothed out and produces a lot of smoke. Firm construction and an even burn.

Acid

Really not for me, the Maduro wrapper was a little too much at this stage in my journey.

Arturo Fuente

This is among the milder flavor profiles, bringing mostly just wood to the palate. On retro, there's some pepper & zing that comes through though. Although the flavor is minimal, the draw and burn were fantastic, pushing out a ton of smoke.

Rocky Patel

Reliable review, with 2+ years of rest now. The flavor portrays aged tobacco with notes of coffee, pepper, and hints of cream. The draw was smooth with plenty of smoke. The burn wavered but only needed minor corrections.

Gran Habano

This cigar is about 18 years old, from before the name was changed to 3 SLS. Slap full of wood, leather, and spices. Construction was fantastic, leading to a clean draw and burn. All that age did this one justice,!

Consistent review, now with over 2 years rest on the box. A super smooth profile with a balance of pepper & spice. A very slow & level burn this time but the draw was just a little tight. Construction is firm as usual.

Repeat cigar, a year of rest this time. Full of spice with a subtle blend of nuts and honey. Insanely smokey with a clean pull. The draw was just about perfect. Unfortunately, this one didn't want to stay lit and needed several corrections.

This version of the Cojonu is a very smooth rendition. The profile is very creamy in general, with just a touch of making slice mixed in. Slight hits of chocolate appear at times. The burn is clean, and the draw is open.
