Diesel and SNFFđ, canât go wrong with that combination!
FYI: When your cigar get short when your enjoying it and you donât want to burn your fingers, put it in a pipe! đ¤Ł
Diesel is another one of those cigars that you have to let rest for a few months if you really want to enjoy it. Coffee, chocolate, mocha, cream and a touch of pepper. Not super complex but very flavorful. You can get these for under $5 on CBid if you look. At that price after a few months they smoke like a $12 stick.
I've always felt Diesel cigars needed time to rest and age, this 10yr old stick proved that idea true. I've always thought Diesels were decent everyday sticks, but after a decade in the humidor this cigar is very good. Immediately I get coffee and cream, hints of chocolate, nut and a fruity sweetness all balanced out with spice and black pepper. For a cigar that was never very complex and currently sells for under $5 by the box, this now tastes like a $10 - $15 cigar. If you have the space put some away for 6mo+ and then enjoy.
These are not overly complex cigars, straight forward coffee, nut, sweetness, pepper and leather. Mild transitions where the flavors shift forward and back. A good everyday smoke at a great price point.
Very toothy, tough but brittle wrapper though it does have a small imperfection. When I used a punch cut the cap and side of the cigar cracked, but was minor enough to not effect the smoke. Thick smoke from a loose draw, and the burn was mostly even, though it got a bit wavy at times. The flavor is rich; earth, leather, dark roasted coffee, and a slight molasses sweetness. There's definitely a nuttiness but I can't tell if it's more walnut or chestnut. The ash fell halfway through smoking, well over 2 inches.
Seems a bit dry, burning quick and hot. Halfway through the wrapper cracked. Flavor leaves a lot to be desired but overall not too bad. Earthy, leathery, and at times ashy flavor.
First third was pretty bitter, burned on the retrohale. Not much flavor till the second third. The Last third showed a lot more flavor and aroma with a slight sweetness resembling plum or date. Leathery appearance and flavor throughout the cigar. Earthy and oaky. Not a whole lot of nuance but enjoyable for the price.
