This is generally a super reliable blend. The profiles produces a mix of leather, sweet tobacco, and a little spice. The veiny appearance tends to be deceiving, as th draw and burn as both very smooth.
TL;DR - raisin and leather, full flavor and nic powerhouse. 👍
6 mos aged. ⏳️
Prelight is sweet tobacco. Construction flawless. Draw is obstructed. 3 cuts to the chisel helps. Perfect Draw punch used regularly throughout the smoke. Light-up super easy. Raisin and leather at the start. Second third develops tobacco spice with wet leather on retro. It's been too long since I've had a LFD Dbl Ligaro. So good! The vitola is small, but this is a full flavor and full nicotine powerhouse.
LFD Double Ligero: first third: learthety spicy tones. Earthy sweet undertone. Cinnamon taste heading into second third. 2nd third: continuation of cinnamon and sweet earthy taste. Light spice. Final third: same continued notes. Final smoke time 1:35. Final score 92
As I tend to like bigger, stronger cigars, my cousin brought this one to our monthly cigar-gathering: La Flor Domenicana Double Ligero Madoro, nicknamed 'Digger'.
Despite its size (8,5 inch with a ring gauge of 60), it's a perfectly constructed cigar, with an impeccable, dark, leathery and oily wrapper, with no visible seams, but with some beautiful nerves.
From the initial cut to the very last puff, this Double Ligero leafed cigar ensures a very enjoyable experience with an almost perfect draw and burn. It's a strong cigar, without a doubt, but when smoked slowly not overpowering at all. In my case (I'm a slow smoker), these cigars last around 4 hours. The notes of wood, peppery spices and chocolate are nicely balanced.
All in all, this is a top-notch cigar, that I will smoke - time permitting - on a regular basis!
