Alec Bradley

Nothing crazy to this blend, but a simple profile of sweet wood and spice. A little of that spice carries over to the retro. Although the burn needed a few touch-ups, the draw stayed clean and it burned down nice and slow.

J. Fuego

This blend has routinely been a solid budget smoke rated in the mid 80's, but today was a fluke. The flavors still came through with coffee and cocoa, but it just absolutely would not stay lit for more than a half inch at a time. Repeated relights just wouldn't keep it going this time.

AVO

Although soft in construction, the burn stayed level enough to get a good consistent smoke. The flavor profile portrayed coffee, leather, and some cinnamon type spice. Not a great cigar, but a good one in general.

Jake Wyatt

First time smoking this blend, and it's oddly interesting. The fire cured tobacco provides that mesquite-like tone, although dialed back. There's a sweet tone of vanilla spice - not pepper - that's mixed with a dry texture. The flavor is there but incredibly minimal. However, the draw and burn are both fantastic.

Consistent & duplicate review. Very chalky feel & taste in general, but in a good way. Subtle sweet tones with woodsiness, baking spices, and a little leather. The draw and burn were both very decent.

Repeated review. A quick but solid cigar, with quality firm construction. The draw is incredibly smooth, bringing out flavors of coffee, pepper, spice, and some wood tones. The burn remained incredibly level the entire way down.

Repeated & duplicate review. Full of spice and cocoa, well blended and constructed well. The draw and burn were great, especially for the size. A touch of leather started coming through towards the end.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust

Here's an exclusive release so good it became regular production. The draw is incredibly smooth, while the burn fairly even with only a couple waves. The profile consists of leather and espresso with just a subtle touch of pepper on the back end. Bits of coca appear at times as well. Overall, an elegant flavorful smoke.

J. Fuego

Repeat review, 2 years of rest now. This is a dark but smooth profile with deep cocoa and very bold coffee notes. The draw was absolutely perfect, giving off good smoke. Construction was firm, and the burn was fairly even.

La Aurora

This was a very interesting cigar. The appearance was a little rustic, but the construction held very well. In terms of flavor, notes were presented of a woodsy and toasted profile. The draw was almost a little too open at times, but the burn stayed fairly decent.

Henry Clay

Repeated review, 17 months rest. This one is a pretty solid cigar, where the profile brings out a lot of coffee, dark chocolate, and spice. Brighter pepper notes appear on the retro. With a firm construction, the draw has just a touch of resistance with a very even draw.

Asylum

Repeated review. 23 months of rest. A brightly spiced but boldly aged cigar. A surprisingly smooth profile of rich tobacco. Firm construction and adequate draw, with a burn line that stayed very even.

Jake Wyatt

As with all Jake Wyatt, the appearance is fantastic. Unfortunately this one had a slight crack at the top, but it did not hinder the smoke at all as it stayed together. The flavor is not the bitter grass that some candelas have. Instead, there were creamy notes of pepper and cedar. The burn stayed very consistent.

Rocky Patel

Reliable review, with 23 months of rest on this one. The flavor brings out aged tobacco with notes of coffee, pepper, and subtle hints of cream. A smooth airy draw with plenty of smoke. The wrapper cracked a little bit it still smoked well.

AJ Fernandez

Consistent review. An oily cigar, with a strong note of bold espresso. The pepper and spice definitely keeps coming through smoother after extra rest. An easy draw and decent burn the entire way.

Continued review. The flavor contains smooth spice and a touch of sweetness. Bits of wood and leather come through periodically. The burn was absolutely perfect. The draw smooth with just a touch of resistance.

Raza Rara

Constructed well, this cigar put out a decent amount of smoke that allowed the flavors to come to the front. The profile consisted of dry powdered cocoa and leather with hits of a strong red pepper that come and go. The burn needed absolutely no corrections.

La Gloria Cubana

Third review, at 16 months rest. Feels even smoother now. There is a sweet tone on the profile with almost no pepper, but a little baking spice now appears. A slight zing appears on the retro. The draw is smooth, providing a ton of smoke.

Raza Rara

First time trying this blend, JDN's exclusive brand for Famous. The cigar lit up quickly, presenting an immediate strong hit of pepper. Extra flavor of heavy nutmeg and floral notes join in soon. The draw was a little too airy, keeping the burn from remaining level.

Continued review, now with over a year of rest. Flavor notes include dark coffee, chocolate, a little leather, and a touch of earthiness. A smooth the draw as before, but the burn is never super even and need no help.

Espinosa

Repeat review. And unfortunate tunnel burn on this one caused it to run down incredibly quickly. Immediate pepper leading into cream and cedar throughout the rest of the smoke. A gentle experience overall with an adequate draw, even though the burn was an issue.

Oliva

Sad that this cigar is an exclusive for Famous. Although the construction is impressive, the blend is absolutely horrible. There's nothing beyond straight ash except for a VERY slight hint of spice that finishes faster than the smoke can clear. This one seems like a straight disappointment from Oliva.

Consistent review, now with 14 months of rest. Very smooth with lots of cream, milk chocolate, and some wood notes. Everything blends together very well. A slightly airy draw produces a good amount of smoke with a steady burn.
