First time trying this line after getting a pack of various vitolas. First off, the sweetened cap is so sweet it takes over the profile until it wears down. What's left of the profile later on presents some cocoa and black pepper, with only a touch of that pepper showing on the retro. The draw was fantastic, but the burn needed a little help to stay even.

Los Statos

Been awhile since I've enjoyed this cigar. Purchased this one 20 months ago. Super bold notes of coffee, pepper, and dark chocolate. Although bold, the flavors blended together nicely. A little earthiness comes through at times as well. A clean draw and almost perfect burn.

Romeo y Julieta

Repeated review. This one is sitting at about 20 months of rest. The flavor includes leather with subtle hints of spice and wood. The draw and burn are both very consistent due to solid construction in the roll.

Warped

First time with this blend, which was pretty interesting. The flavors started initially with a strong nutty and earth tone. This was soon joined by some cocoa and wood notes. Although not densely packed, the construction stayed solid allowing for a decent draw and burn.

Emilio

After a year and a half of rest, this cigar performed well. Although it felt a little soft, the burn stayed decent and allowed a smooth draw. The profile is heavy on the cinnamon and cedar, with hits of pepper coming through on the retro.

Black Label Trading Company

Very consistent review, 19 months of rest on this one. A smooth yet bold cigar that gradually increases in strength. The profile brings out notes of coffee, pepper, and cinnamon. The draw and burn were both very smooth.

Drop Cigar Club

Last one from my box purchased 2.5 years ago. Still a very consistent review. The profile brings a bite of pepper that smooths down into bread, nuts, and subtle chocolate. Clean construction with a great draw. Veiny appearance that doesn't take away from the overall experience.

Blackbird Cigar

This one brought out a mix of coffee, pepper, and some nutty tones that popped up from time to time. The draw was open and a little airy, with the cigar being slightly spongy. However, the burn stayed true to the end. Two full years of rest on this particular one.

Warped

I'm on the fence with this one. The construction is firm, but it had a pretty tight draw even after several days of dry boxing. The burn kept running all over the place and needed to be corrected continuously. The flavor profile was a little spicy, mostly of red pepper, but had a little creaminess as well. However due to the tight draw and minimal smoke, it was hard to pull these flavors consistently.

Romeo y Julieta

This one gets better with rest, sitting at about 18 months on this one. The flavor brings out leather with subtle hints of spice and wood. The draw and burn are both very consistent due to solid construction in the roll.

Warped

With 17 months of rest, finally pulled this one out. First off, the cigar felt severely overpacked, requiring a very strong draw. Luckily, the flavors came through well, pushing out flavors of black pepper, dark chocolate, and a hint of dried fruit. Surprisingly the burn stayed almost perfect.

Caldwell

I've had this blend in toro, but now trying it in gordo. The smoking profile portrayed sweet, spiced cedar notes like the toro. However, the draw was too airy and prevented the flavors from being as pronounced, often tasting only ash. The cigar burned too fast, but at least it stayed even. This cigar was an 87 in a toro.

Warped

This one is a very smooth smoke due to a open draw, rested for 16 months. The profile introduces wood tones with balanced nuttiness, all the spice appears on the retro. The barn wavered slightly but continuously corrected itself.

This one was a little linear, with mostly wood tones coming through. The draw had a little too much resistance to it, but the burn stayed decent.

Warped

A simple cigar in terms of profile, the flavor consisted of straight wood and pepper. The burn was very consistent thanks to a clean draw.

Bolivar

A solid smoke, the flavor brings out some very creamy spice that's mixed with pepper and cedar. A brighter spice comes out on the retro without any harsh tones. A great draw and perfectly even burn.

Dapper

Duplicate review! The draw is smooth and allows the flavors to present properly, but the profile seems basic with some creaminess, leather, and just a touch of sweetness to it. The burn stayed incredibly even throughout.

Blackbird Cigar

Second review, 18 months of rest. This one has flavor, boasting flavor notes primarily of a mild wood with subtle pepper and spice. Nothing complex, but the draw was very smooth. The burn needed a couple corrections this time around.

Blackbird Cigar

This might be the weakest cigar in terms of flavor that I have smoked yet from Blackbird. There are notes of leather and earth, but both profiles are incredibly weak. Generic ash seems to overwhelm the flavor. Appearance, draw, and burn are all fantastic. Sadly that flavor loss let this one down a bit.

Consistent & duplicate review. A quick bite of pepper that drops down into smooth bread, nuts, and subtle chocolate. Clean construction with a great draw. Veiny appearance that doesn't take away from the overall experience.

Dapper

Back with another one, a routinely convenient smoke. The flavor starts sweet with pepper and spice joining in. The draw and burn were very level this time. There was a little bitterness that popped up in the middle, this is usually not the case, but it worked its way out quickly after.

Blackbird Cigar

After 18 months rest, this was a very chalky smoke. The flavor portrayed earth, minerals, and a medium hit of black pepper, which was a tad stronger on the retro. Construction was firm, the draw was smooth, and the burn only needed one correction.

Very consistent review, a smooth cigar that gradually increases in strength over time. The profile brings notes of coffee, pepper, and some cinnamon. The draw has a clean resistance to it while the burn stays incredibly level.

Blackbird Cigar

Second review, this one was 17 months of rest. The first time, I recognized malt, nuttiness and coffee. This time around, I recognize the coffee, but there is now a bold earthiness that presents itself as well. The draw is smooth and the burn is flawless.

Dapper

A routinely convenient quick smoke. The sweet start with pepper and spice joining in make for an easy smoke. The draw and burn were very level this time.

Cuba Aliados

Although the wrapper appearance on this cigar is rather rugged, showing a lot of veins coming through from the binder, it burned flawlessly. The draw is a tad tight, but still allows smooth notes of bread and light cedar. Practically nothing came through on the retro.

Perla del Mar

An interesting blend, something like coffee & citrus mixed together. Somehow the draw stayed decent enough to get a little burn, because the cap kept cracking and trying to unravel. A decent cigar as it was.

Dapper

A medium strength cigar, with flavor notes primarily of creamy coffee with a subtle touch of sweet chocolate. The wrapper cracked about 2 inches in, but it stayed burning very well with a smooth draw.

Caldwell

Repeated and consistent review. A very smooth and clean blend, with notes of cedar and leather. A decent level of spice appears but mostly on the retro. An open but stay draw with a perfect burn.

Dapper

Had to go ahead and smoke another! The tip starts out sweet, but quickly blends down into balanced pepper and spice without too much strength. The draw was a tad tight this time but was still adequate. However, the burn stayed perfect.
