Caldwell

I've had this blend in toro, but now trying it in gordo. The smoking profile portrayed sweet, spiced cedar notes like the toro. However, the draw was too airy and prevented the flavors from being as pronounced, often tasting only ash. The cigar burned too fast, but at least it stayed even. This cigar was an 87 in a toro.

Warped

This one is a very smooth smoke due to a open draw, rested for 16 months. The profile introduces wood tones with balanced nuttiness, all the spice appears on the retro. The barn wavered slightly but continuously corrected itself.

This one was a little linear, with mostly wood tones coming through. The draw had a little too much resistance to it, but the burn stayed decent.

A simple cigar in terms of profile, the flavor consisted of straight wood and pepper. The burn was very consistent thanks to a clean draw.

Bolivar

A solid smoke, the flavor brings out some very creamy spice that's mixed with pepper and cedar. A brighter spice comes out on the retro without any harsh tones. A great draw and perfectly even burn.

Dapper

Duplicate review! The draw is smooth and allows the flavors to present properly, but the profile seems basic with some creaminess, leather, and just a touch of sweetness to it. The burn stayed incredibly even throughout.

Second review, 18 months of rest. This one has flavor, boasting flavor notes primarily of a mild wood with subtle pepper and spice. Nothing complex, but the draw was very smooth. The burn needed a couple corrections this time around.

Blackbird Cigar Corp

This might be the weakest cigar in terms of flavor that I have smoked yet from Blackbird. There are notes of leather and earth, but both profiles are incredibly weak. Generic ash seems to overwhelm the flavor. Appearance, draw, and burn are all fantastic. Sadly that flavor loss let this one down a bit.

Drop Cigar Club

Consistent & duplicate review. A quick bite of pepper that drops down into smooth bread, nuts, and subtle chocolate. Clean construction with a great draw. Veiny appearance that doesn't take away from the overall experience.

Back with another one, a routinely convenient smoke. The flavor starts sweet with pepper and spice joining in. The draw and burn were very level this time. There was a little bitterness that popped up in the middle, this is usually not the case, but it worked its way out quickly after.

Blackbird Cigar Corp

After 18 months rest, this was a very chalky smoke. The flavor portrayed earth, minerals, and a medium hit of black pepper, which was a tad stronger on the retro. Construction was firm, the draw was smooth, and the burn only needed one correction.

Black Label Trading Company

Very consistent review, a smooth cigar that gradually increases in strength over time. The profile brings notes of coffee, pepper, and some cinnamon. The draw has a clean resistance to it while the burn stays incredibly level.

Blackbird Cigar Corp

Second review, this one was 17 months of rest. The first time, I recognized malt, nuttiness and coffee. This time around, I recognize the coffee, but there is now a bold earthiness that presents itself as well. The draw is smooth and the burn is flawless.

A routinely convenient quick smoke. The sweet start with pepper and spice joining in make for an easy smoke. The draw and burn were very level this time.

Cuba Aliados

Although the wrapper appearance on this cigar is rather rugged, showing a lot of veins coming through from the binder, it burned flawlessly. The draw is a tad tight, but still allows smooth notes of bread and light cedar. Practically nothing came through on the retro.

Perla del Mar

An interesting blend, something like coffee & citrus mixed together. Somehow the draw stayed decent enough to get a little burn, because the cap kept cracking and trying to unravel. A decent cigar as it was.

Dapper

A medium strength cigar, with flavor notes primarily of creamy coffee with a subtle touch of sweet chocolate. The wrapper cracked about 2 inches in, but it stayed burning very well with a smooth draw.

Repeated and consistent review. A very smooth and clean blend, with notes of cedar and leather. A decent level of spice appears but mostly on the retro. An open but stay draw with a perfect burn.

Had to go ahead and smoke another! The tip starts out sweet, but quickly blends down into balanced pepper and spice without too much strength. The draw was a tad tight this time but was still adequate. However, the burn stayed perfect.

Here's a pretty smooth and easy cigar that primarily portrays notes of toasted vanilla with hints of bright pepper. On the retro, the pepper seems to smooth out to provide more of the sweet vanilla. The draw is open, allowing for a lot of smoke output, and the burn remained almost perfect.

This is an absolutely fantastic quick smoke when you need a hit and don't have a lot of time. The tip starts out sweet, but quickly blends down into balanced pepper and spice without too much strength. The draw has a slight resistance to it, as expected for this size, but the burn stays fantastic.

Montecristo

Third time smoking this one, each time a year apart. This one has about 9 months of rest. The same notes of cinnamon, coffee, and spice are present, but a little bit of bitterness came at the end this time. An adequate draw with no issues, allowing the burn to be decently clean.

Caldwell

The spice coming from the cigar is both surprising yet intriguing. That spice mixes well with the deep tones of leather and chocolate. They draw is creamy and smooth with a lot of smoke output, even in this vitola.

The cigar blends a well-balanced profile of wood, pepper, and some creaminess that comes and goes. The draw has just a tad bit of resistance that creates a billowing amount of smoke. The burn only needed one touch up along the way. Fairly smooth cigar in general.

Perla del Mar

A darker cigar with notes of coffee, chocolate, and spice. The retro feels a little harsh and bitter unfortunately. An open draw but the burn needed help as the wrapper started to come loose.

Warped

Second time smoking this blend. The smoke brings a lot of body, and the flavor is a chewy leather / wood profile. As before, there's some spice that only appeared on the retro. The draw was smooth with perfect burn.

Here's a solid smoke that works great in the short robusto for a quick session. The flavor brings out some very creamy spice mixed with pepper and cedar. A bright spice comes out on the retro without any harsh tones. A great draw and perfectly even burn.

Consistent review. Last time I smoked this blend was almost a year ago, this one is just about the same. An easy profile that consists mainly of wood with a little spice. Possibly a touch of some nutty tones. Nothing too complex though. Smooth easy draw but just a touch of spice on the retro.
