Again for this price point a nice smoke.

A first form me and a pleasant surprise. First inch was all cream then a pop of pepper. Toothy wrapper draw was spot on. Strong flavored reminds me a bit of a pardon 3000 without the strong nicotine. A little wavy in the burn no correction needed. Seemed to settle out after the first 3rd as far as flavor and transitions. Nice cool burn. I only bought a single but will pick up a 5pack to see how they do with age. Only 2 months humidor time.

The closed foot on the cigar provides an immediate hit of spice that turns into a blend of spice and coffee pretty quickly. The draw and burn remained pretty adequate throughout and a boldness of rich tobacco lingered until the end.

Nice burn. I like the look and the flavor was full. Got it for $10 so good for the price

Leather. Cedar. Burnt toast. Molasses.

Cold draw had deep stone fruit - cherry and prune - with some vanilla. A little tough to get going due to the way the wrapper is curled around the foot. Well worth the effort. First draws are a little tight but delicious. Cherry, chocolate, and leather prevalent. Very creamy. Near perfect burn line. Halfway through second 1/3 and I haven’t ashed yet. Chocolate is really coming through now. Very impressed by this cigar.

Bland, harsh, unpleasant

TL;DR - Natural Earth, earth, earth The Connecticut broadleaf wrapper is amazingly dark. It’s rustic with seams and veins, but as the name suggests, it’s supposed to be. Bands match well. This is my first pig-tailed cap and closed wrapper foot cigar. As expected, deep notes of hay and chocolate off the unlit stick. Pulling the pig tail off with teeth does not have the desired effect. Cut it, to be sure. The draw is perfection. Wheat, chocolate, dark coffee on the cold draw. Don’t miss the first few puffs; it’s almost entirely the flavor of the wrapper, which is bold, dark, earthy, peppery, leather. The foot smoke is pleasant, fragrant, nearly aromatic. TONS of thick smoke in the mouth and off the foot. The burn started in a wave due to the closed foot, but it corrected itself. First third didn’t produce the chocolate sweetness the cold draw hinted at. It stayed coffee and earth forward. Ash holds nicely. Into the second third and the flavors mellow out and blend together. A hint of sweetness shows up to add an effect of mildly sweetened cafe au lait, but the overall experience is still very earthy. The finish is moderate. Strength goes up to solid medium. Burn got uneven and required touching up a couple of times. No effect on flavor though. A little nuttiness appears at the end of the 2nd third. Final third gave a little floral note. Walked away from the cigar and it went out. Relight wasn’t too pleasant, even with a soft flame from a cedar stick, but once it got going again it was fine. Sweet note vanished, but the tobacco note had a little natural sweetness to it. Overall, home humidor aging will assist in developing balance and sweetness. Band came off easily. The nub wasn’t unpleasant, but it was more of the same. The price shows in its middling complexity. Finished with about an inch left. I had high hopes for this and it turned out to be just okay.

Great as always

Aroma is of barnyard, cocoa, new leather and coffee. Cold draw has notes of nutty sweetness and hay with black pepper on the lips. First draw is earthy, cinnamon, charred oak, and pepper spice on the retrohale. Into the first third some dark roast coffee notes fall in and a sweet cashew creaminess tames the retrohale slightly. The second third holds the earthiness, coffee, charred oak, and pepper, but some leather, mineral, and cream appear. The nutty notes fade. The abundant smoke has a nice floral aroma. Draw seems a little tight but it's deceiving. When you let the smoke roll it seems like you took a double draw. It also develops some saltiness, which makes it a toffee like flavor profile. Final third carries the notes of the second third with the nuttiness returning. The pepper returns in full strength. A definite bite to the sinuses. Overall a great smoke. Definitely recommend if you like a stick that produces a ton of smoke

Off the bat it hits.you with huge flavor. The wrapper is oily and gorgeous. Strong wood and coffee flavors. Middle third most mellow and final lots of bitter coffee. Burned perfectly and slow
