A consistent yet super smooth medium smoke with a good amount of flavor. The profile brings out baking spice, some bread, and a little wood. The spice intensifies ever so slightly on the retro. Smooth draw and absolutely perfect burn.

Gellis Family Cigars

Repeated review with plenty of rest. The profile produced notes of coffee, a little earth, and some pepper on the back end. The draw was smooth and the burn stayed rather clean. Spongy too the feel as the others have been, but it didn't affect the burn.

Very consistent review here, and the short belicoso format keeps performing well. Dark chocolate and espresso are prominent in a bold experience, with a clean burn and appearance. Very smooth draw & firm construction.

Another one on the short belicoso vitola. Reliable blend with a hit of spice. The cigar smoothes down to a super clean blend of sweet molasses with hints of coffee. An almost flawless burn with a very open draw.

One of the two full size cigars in the Short Tales line, this one is pretty solid. Construction is very firm, presented with an oily wrapper. The flavor profile is primarily of charred cedar, with added notes of leather. The retro introduces some heavy red pepper. The draw was smooth with a great burn line.

This variation of the Short Tales was pretty solid. Right off the bat, the flavor boasted a heavily leather profile, which was soon joined by red pepper on the back of the tongue. The retro introduced more of a savory cooking spice note. The draw was smooth and smoky, while the burn stayed fairly decent.

Gellis Family Cigars

Repeated review after over a year since the last one. The profile produces notes of coffee and subtle earth with some pepper on the back end. The draw is smooth and the burn stays rather clean. Spongy but clean construction overall.

Saga

It took a few minutes to really get the tobacco burning. Once it did, a profile of leather, bitter ash, and red pepper appeared. It was a struggle to keep the cigar lit, but when it was, the draw was clean. The flavor profiles mentioned were good, but inconsistently presented due to the poor combustion.

Lampert

Back down into the darker side. The profile consists of dark coffee, sweet chocolate, and plenty of black pepper. The retro holds that pepper but does not get overly intense. Although construction felt a little spongy, the draw was open and the burn stayed fairly decent.

Saga

This one was tough. Even after a couple trimmings of the cap, the draw was incredibly tough to pull through. What flavors did pull out were subtle red pepper, chalky dirty ash, and a very small hint of a cinnamon like zing. The only positive was the burn being incredibly even, but it was just not as enjoyable as the other Short Tales have been so far.

Lampert

First time smoking this particular cigar, and the draw was smoother and more open than expected. The dark and oily wrapper provides a somewhat sour but sweet earthiness that blends in with various notes of bread, salt, and some sort of dried fruit I cannot discern. The burn was almost perfect as well. Very interesting cigar.

Finally tried the short belicoso of this blend. Just as smooth as the others, with notes of cocoa, coffee, and a little vanilla at the back end. The draw was a little more open. Steady burn with clean transitions.

Saga

This one is constructed very well, even though the appearance looked otherwise. The draw was a little tired at first but opened up quickly, allowing for an adequate burn line. In terms of flavor, and overwhelmingly strong hit of nuttiness appeared first, but best baking spices and white pepper soon joined in. That pepper is incredibly strong on the retro.

Saga

The draw was too open on this one, had to relight several times. The profiles brings out wood tones, saltiness, and savory spices. Black pepper comes through on the retro. Although it kept a wonky burn, there was still lots of smoke.

Warped

This is quickly becoming a consistent favorite. The flavors are primarily of super creamy tobacco with a blend of various baking spices. The draw and burn were both almost perfect due to solid construction.

Adventura

Reliable blend, but now in a mini belicoso! The profile comes with a hit of spice there's a little stronger than the traditional sizes. The cigar still smoothes down to a super smooth blend of sweet molasses with hints of coffee. An absolute flawless burn with a very open draw.

Second time smoking, enjoyed the first so much I got a box. An elegant smoke, the flavors are primarily of super creamy tobacco with a blend of various baking spices. Needing zero corrections, the draw and burn are almost perfect due to solid construction.

First time trying the short belicoso doesn't. Still a smokey beast, with an incredibly easy draw. Immediate tones of cedar join up with a little pepper and vanilla. A little softer than the core parejo, but that did not affect the smoke experience whatsoever.

A super smooth experience of a new blend yet to be fully released! The profile has just the right kick of spice enjoyed by an incredibly easy draw. With a fairly even burn, this special vitola is an intriguing smoke.

First time smoking this one in the short belicoso. Smooth blend of nuts, chocolate & carmel-like sweetness. Very smooth and open draw, clean burn, and construction. The flavors do seem to pop out better in this size.

Repeated review. Heavy notes of wood, spice, and pepper are blended together completely from the first draw. The pull is smooth with an incredibly even burn throughout. The retro is smoother than would be expected.

After 2 months of aging this cigar is so much better! All the flavor notes of leather, earth, coco, vanilla, cinnamon, and a creamy smoke makes this cigar so damn good!
