Right at the start, strong peppery, cedar, and leather notes. Very nice. Nice sweetness like brown sugar. Good draw. Unable to finish cigar but enjoyed it.

Dark and oily wrapper. Well constructed. Small & tight veins. Excellent draw. Firm to the touch. Rich and earthy. Chocolate sweetness: very pleasant. Ash is just a tad loose. Smooth finish on the first third. Ash fell off after 1.5 in. Relight necessary. Second third, hay coming through. A little more cinnamon too. I like it. Last third. Doesn’t disappoint. Rich flavor all throughout.

Strong peppery notes at light up and retrohale. Oily wrapper with firm construction and good draw. Earth & leather notes. Sweetness coming through seems like dark chocolate. Even burn so far in first third. Some bitterness transitioning to second third. Even more earthy notes. The second third is harsher. The finish has a bite. The last third required a relight. Sweetness coming back. This is a very earthy smoke.

Bitter at first lighting. Settled down eventually. Strong pepper on the finish for the first third. Got two inches of tight ash. Good draw. Sweetness coming through. Second third is turning out to be enjoyable. Getting notes of hay and molasses. Rich, dark and oily wrapper. Nice plumes of smoke. About 5/8s in and I’m getting strong cedar notes. Almost to last third: some bitterness but transitioning to hay notes.

This is the EP Carrillo Pledge Sojourn. My impressions: Perfect draw and manure smell pre-lighting. Construction is nice and the cigar is firm. Oily wrapper and chewy smoke. Ash is somewhat loose but this has no bearing on the wonderful flavors that are rich and complex. It's a flavor bomb! About halfway through it gets very peppery. Some people don't like pepper, I do. Smooth on the finish. This a medium to full-bodied cigar.
