Aganorsa Leaf

Very sharp spice note on retrohale and pepper on the tongue. Burn line was all over the place. Gave up at the half way point because it started making me nauseous. Definitely a no on buying this one again.

Drew Estate

Coffee with cream taste on test draw. Flavor also appeared off and on throughout the smoking session. STRONG pepper on the retrohale. Burn was pretty much perfect until the second third, then it went a little wonky. Coffee notes pretty much went away and were replaced with spice in the second third as well. In the final third the cap became very soft and squishy, but didn't come apart. Lots of spicy notes in the final third. Overall a very good cigar and will be on my smoke again list.

Macanudo

Real wonky burn line and a draw that's just a little tight. First retrohale was a blast of pepper. After that the retrohale wasn't as harsh. Burn had to be finally touched up going into the second third. After finally using a reamer to open up the draw, the cigar developed a salt note. Possibly caused by the reamer? Using the reamer twice and the draw was still pretty tight. In the final third the cigar looked like it wanted to start coming apart at the burn line. Poor construction and a funky taste makes this a no-go for me.

Deadwood Tobacco

This is actually my THIRD attempt to review this cigar. The first two were purchased at a different B&M who had apparently gotten dried out cigars. Because the cap kept coming off the cigar and they just felt like they were dry. PROFUSE AMOUNTS OF SMOKE! Even when I wasn't drawing on it smoke would continue to billow out of the foot. Started to canoe but self corrected. Not as much sweetness on the cap as the other Deadwood cigars have, but there was a "gumminess" to it. Not a smooth burn, but decent. I loved Sweet Jane and Leather Rose. But Betty has been kind of a disappointment to me. Only one other cigar left...let's hope that Crazy Alice lives up the expectations I have.

Deadwood Tobacco

I'm definitely becoming a fan of Drew Estate cigars and a lover of the Deadwood brand. Just like the Sweet Jane, the Leather Rose has a very mellow taste to it. Hints of baking spice on the test draw. With some earthy and peppery notes on the retrohale. Pepper wasn't until the final third though. An almost perfect burn, with one little touch up needed on the final third. Also no relights needed for the entire smoke. I'm very impressed with the quality of the Deadwood cigars.

Macanudo

My very first Macanudo. Didn't think I'd like it when the first 3/4 inch of ash thought it looked better on my shirt than on the cigar. Fairly consistent burn and a great draw. Smoke was thin though, unless you took three or four draws in a row. Definitely worth smoking again.

Kristoff

A pleasant smoke. Excellent draw. Zero relights, but did need to be touched up a few times.

Deadwood Tobacco

My new favorite stick! Very mellow with a natural sweetness that is lip smacking good. It developed a peppery retrohale on the final third. A fairly quick smoke compared to others with a near perfect burn and ZERO relights. I will definitely be buying more. 😁
