Camacho
Connecticut Toro (6"x50)
Meh. It hits me as a very typical cigar, but not in a positively memorable way. It took some finesse to get a good burn going, and the draw was very tight at first, but then it kicked in and actually ashed very nicely overall. The taste experience isn’t the best. The typical smoothness of a Connecticut wrapper seems overpowered by more bitter, acrid notes. I didn’t experience even a hint of softness or sweetness in the flavor notes. Maybe I needed bourbon. lol
Ok, let me update my review 20 minutes in: the second third is MUCH better than the first, ironically. Maybe it’s burning better, but at least it’s slightly more enjoyable than the start.
Final update: the last third is a miss. Pretty bitter, but not in a pleasant way as with a Maduro or intense filler. Just not enjoyable overall.
