Small Batch Cigar

Davidoff

This was my first experience with a Davidoff. I was excited because I got this in a Small Batch order, but I think the cigar itself retails around the $50 mark. For its price, it is quite disappointing. I have smoked cigars less than $10 that are 10x better than this one. Don't get me wrong, it is a good cigar, with good flavor and burn, a slightly peppery retrohale, but the draw is a little tight. I don't think I will ever buy a Davidoff again though, knowing that it is just overpriced and you are mostly just paying for the name. There are way better cigars for much cheaper. It is a good cigar, but way too expensive.

The first draw is an impeccable flavor bomb of pepper, citrus cayenne, aged leather and a touch of honey. After sitting a bit, I get a strange amount of honey dew, strong black tea and creamy espresso. The burn, despite a less than perfect light on my part was phenomenal and the draw was absolutely superb with a crown cut. I'm only slightly disappointed because the flavor mellowed quite a bit in the middle. Glad I bought a fiver, wish I had bought a box.

Starts off with a kick of dark cocoa, leather, and oak flavor. Didn't build to be too harsh either by the end. Very enjoyable. Super smooth draw, well made, and super even burn on consturction.
