Been awhile, but a repeated review. A very woodsy smoke with touches of spice periodically. The aged tobacco comes through with a super clean balance. A very smooth draw and firm construction led to a very enjoyable smoke.
Had to go ahead and smoke another! The tip starts out sweet, but quickly blends down into balanced pepper and spice without too much strength. The draw was a tad tight this time but was still adequate. However, the burn stayed perfect.
Incredibly smooth flavor on this one! The profile consists primarily of wood tones and well-blended black pepper. The pepper intensity really only hits on the retro, it stays smooth on the regular draw. Fantastic draw and very even burn throughout.
Very pleasant cigar. Dark, oily wrapper. Some veins. Burn wasn’t great at the beginning, not too much smoke, got better in the second and last thirds. Had to touch up twice though. Great flavors: wood, some spice, nice balanced smoke. Flavor evolves nicely over time. Not sure it’s worth the price, but it was a very enjoyable cigar.
