A pretty basic cigar, with notes of earth, mild wood, and hay. The draw and burn were decent, which is amazing because the wrapper kept trying to peel back. Decent budget smoke.
This is my 2nd time smoking the Chillin Moose. I enjoy the flavor but the cigar always seems to unravel. I’ve purchased this cigar from 2 different locations and same thing happened
The draw was pretty tight for the first third, but opened up by the second third. The cap was pretty rough and somewhat short, so I tried a punch at first. The tight draw made that pretty difficult, so I reverted to a careful straight cut. There was barely any cap left, but luckily it didn’t unravel. It burned pretty evenly and didn’t require any touch ups or relights. The primary flavors I found were an oaky nuttiness with a slight hit of pepper. Overall: The construction could have been better, but for the price, it wasn’t a bad smoke.
Black Pepper
Earth
Walnut
Cedar / Oak
Paired with Johnnie Walker Double Black Blended Scotch Whiskey
Construction is veiny. Seems loose from the first feel. The draw is very loose. Started with all pepper and no depth through the first third. Start of the second third brought on some sweetness. Final third brought back the spice with a little heat with a fuller/chewier smoke.
