Smoked Jun 12, 2022 for 1 hr 30 mins
Last one in my humidor. I got these back in February, I think, of 2016 and smoked most of them that year or the year after, and then smoked one every year up to around 2019. I remember them being very floral and sweet; I'm hoping they will taste as good as I remember.
I used a punch cut. Flavor was very mellow yet tasty. Lots of cedar and leather with a little spice in the retrohale. The draw got pretty tight after the first inch and a half so when the ash dropped I straight cut it which opened it up nicely.
The cedar and leather got a bit stronger in the second third but the retrohale lost the spiciness and I started to notice a nuttiness. The first ash dropped around 1.5-2 inches and then the ash dropped again quickly, then around an inch and it kept ashing sooner and sooner.
Not quite what I remembered, but it's a good smoke overall.
