The Griffin's

Mild cigar with buttery cedar nutty notes. Burns well. Very good draw. Lots of smoke and the ash hangs for a while. Not my usual smoke but enjoyable.

Gurkha

Not a huge fan of Gurkha. This was a gift. I have tried most that the brand has to offer and it's just not my particular flavor yet. I find this one to have a very bitter note almost like the inside of a pecan for the first quarter with what follows reminds me of an ashtray. After the first quarter it starts to taste like a cheap house cigar with no real flavor. The cigars look nice, burn nice but in my opinion just taste like a cheap house cigar. Tried to turn off would buy again. I wouldn't.

Aganorsa Leaf

First third has a spicey note with a slight bitter coffee and chocolate flavor. A little cedar and earthy. Second third calms down and almost has a sweet finish I can't place. Still has a little bitter coffee flavor. Very slight hint of almonds. I am drinking a concoction that I made of Dr pepper cream soda and peanut butter whiskey that surprisingly accents the flavor quite well. It has a very good burn and a nice draw. I would consider it medium to full flavor. I wouldn't recommend it as a first cigar but if you like something a little stronger that has flavor I would go for it. Definitely will be one I keep on hand. Although it seems that they are a little hard to find in my experience. I think it would pair well with a good glass of cabernet. The last third doesn't change much from the second. The earthy and leather note is more pronounced and still has a woody/nutty flavor. I really like it.

La Barba

First third of this is very earthy with cedar and a little pepper. Second third has a bitter dark chocolate with pepper flavor. Last third has a leather with heavier pepper still very earthy with an almost a hint of hay. Pleasant smoke as most Caldwell cigars are.
