Got a straight cut and lit with matches. Flavor right off the bat was heavy and dark. Earthy, leathery, and oak-forward with a hint of vanilla and hay. As I approached the 2nd half, a strong chocolatey flavor popped out. Lots of nuance throughout the 2nd and 3rd of the cigar. A little bit of spice in the retro but not peppery - maybe closer to cinnamon/ginger without the flavor/aroma. More leather flavor appeared in the final 3rd.
Draw is perfect but the burn started running in the first third but evened itself out by turning and drawing slower.
Overall fantastic cigar. I really enjoy everything I've had from the Foundation lines
